Bike-friendly businesses throughout the region stock basic bicycle repair kits and offer other services like water bottle refills, bathroom facilities, and Wi-Fi Look for the Bicycles WelcoME window signs, pictured below.

Bike shops and rentals are limited along the Bold Coast. Bring your own bike and the basic tools to keep you riding, or gear up with rentals and accessories at bicycle shops in Winter Harbor, Ellsworth or in Bar Harbor on Mount Desert Island.

Three public bicycle repair stations will be located (by mid-summer 2018) in downtown Winter Harbor, at the Machias Bay Area Chamber of Commerce, and at the Calais Visitor Center.
